Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens

Sometimes I really start to feel bad about being negative. I'm sympathetic to people who are dedicated fans — I am one myself, lots of times. All the time, actually. So when I criticize things that people really love, and I hear their response, my knee-jerk reaction is to backtrack and apologize and reiterate how much I really love the thing I'm ragging on.

So, just so you know: I love these shows. All of them. Even the ones I say mean things about. I love them all.

This is a long way of saying that I really, really loved last night's Veronica Mars and have nothing bad to say whatsoever. Was it just all the talk of Lilly that put me in a season-one mindset? All the familiar faces? The clever (but not too confusing) cases of both Marses? It's probably all of the above, because I just flat out loved it.

That moment when Veronica rips the necklace off the little girl's neck — absolutely priceless.

Answer me this, though, internet: What were Veronica and Logan for Halloween? A cursory internet search says Fred and Thelma from Scooby-doo. Is this correct? Please, help me and Cristin. I can't find a picture, but they were both wearing black wigs. They sort of looked like British pop stars.

The TWoP boards seem fairly convinced it’s The White Stripes. That’s a little weak. Not that I’m complaining! Love the show! Love it!

My guess was Veronica and Reggie from the Archie comics.
