In Project Runway Reality The Gays
Late last week, the pin-striped, pocket-squared suits at Bravo gave an avalanche of news about their gay-themed reality shows. A fabu-lanche, if you will.
First of all, the Fab 5 will be hanging up their cashmere gloves as Queer Eye heads into its fifth and final season. Expect an intolerable number of group hugs and awkward this-means-so-much-to-me monologues as the boys make over "a warring artsy family," "a monster truck-loving clutter bug" and "a divorced dad biker dude." The final ten episodes will air this summer.
Isn't it sad how everyone watched that show for its first season and then abruptly stopped?
On the Project Runway front, Bravo is giving Tim Gunn his own show . Entitled "Tim Gunn's Guide to Style," the show will basically be Queer Eye — only it's just Tim Gunn (he's so hot right now).
Meanwhile, as for Project Runway itself, the network is remaining annoyingly vague about the show's status. It must be frustrating, I know, to schedule around the lives of stars who have other jobs plus NY Fashion Week, but come on. Get it together. Right now Tim Gunn isn't even signed on, so the fact that they just gave him his own show could spell disaster.
Finally, in a strange reality show curveball, there's some chatter about a second season of Boy Meets Boy — Bravo's take on The Bachelor, only the bachelor gets to bring his hag and half the men are secretly straight. The original show aired in 2003, so it's strange that it has taken them this long to air a second season. Hopefully they will, because if it comes to fruition — I'm so in.

Isn’t TiFaux Maggie working on the book version of Tim Gunn’s Guide to Style? And shouldn’t we have some exclusive and fabulous sneak peeks?

Wait, are we not allowed to talk about that?

Yeah, I’m, like, “anonymous” and stuff! You’ve like totally compromised my identity! Or something?
(Though, in all honesty, if you can put together the name Maggie and the Tim Gunn thing, you probably already know me.)
(I’m not actually working on it personally. Though that does not mean I have not met Tim Gunn.)
