A year ago. Yesterday.

So, I guess since no one else is leaping at the opportunity, I'll go ahead and do it.

Yesterday, TiFaux turned one.  If TiFaux were an actual baby we'd be walking with a little help, turning pages in a book and imitating animal noises.  But we're not a baby.  We're just folks who sit on our asses, watch TV and then write about it on the internet the next day.

On Feb. 5, 2006, Maggie wrote an admittedly inauspicious post about Medium, soon to be followed by posts about Superbowl ads, Jon Stewart's new baby and Cristin's musings on Doogie Howser and various members of the cast of Saved by the Bell.  Kyle lived in Germany and talked about the Simpsons and well-dubbed episodes of Gilmore Girls.  Then I'd enter the fold five days later to tell Meredith Grey to fuck off.

It's been a fun year.  Chloe won PR2 and none of us called it.  Maggie went on a crazy Buffy bender and tried to rationalize her own behavior.  Cristin and I invested way more energy into the Real World/Road Rules Fresh Meat

Challenge than it ever deserved.  We told Aaron Sorkin, Lost's John Locke, Rory Gilmore and Johnny Cougar himself that we were sick of their shit.  I consciously tried to not make all my posts homo-pertinent, with limited success.  Kyle carved out his own niche as TV on the Internet correspondent.  We learned to hate/love/hate/love Studio 60.  We devoted a lot space in our brains to Project Runway.  We collected our own bunch of TiFaux sweethearts: Hiro from Heroes, Jim and Pam from The Office (but especially Toby), Jack Bauer, Tim Gunn, Veronica Mars, etc.

Along the way, we got selected as a finalist for some sort of weird award and then lost.  We got some unexpected visits from the outside world.  We went through two bandwidth blackouts.  We loved, we laughed, we learned.

There's no moral to this and I, personally, don't really have any reflections to share.  But it's just weird (good weird) that this has gone on so long.

So thanks for reading.  Keep checking the site.  I don't know what anyone else has cooked up, but I'm probably going to talk about Top Design and do another one of those little charty things at some point this week.

Love,

Dan
