In Gilmore Girls Grey's Anatomy News RW/RR Challenge Veronica Mars
I mean, whatever.
- The guy who played Lisa Bonet's husband on The Cosby Show is a republican of the gay-hatin' variety.
- Katherine Heigl, Sandra Oh and Kate Walsh look saucy in their respective photo shoots.
- A Democratic lawmaker is telling people to avoid Stephen Colbert.
- The LA Times profiles the regulars on the Real World/Road Rules Challenges.
- Christiane Amanpour will guest star on the (series?) finale of Gilmore Girls.
- A-listers like Geraldo, Nancy Sinatra and Daniel Baldwin will all guest star on the final episodes of The Sopranos.
- Apparently, something weird and awesome will happen on Jeopardy tonight, but they're not saying what. My guess? A three-way tie.
- Ricki Lake is going to star in a new series.
- And, finally, I hate to report this, but Kristin from E! says it's looking like Veronica Mars is done. [UPDATE: Veronica might not be cancelled. They just might, uh, ruin it.]
No. Nooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!
I knew it was too good to last. Stupid CW. Maybe another network will pick it up… (Yeah, right.)
I’m wary of them trying to turn it into CSI: Teen, but, BUT, if they can do it well and retain a few of the best supporting players, I think the jump-forward idea is actually pretty good. Think about it: if it does stick around for, say, two more seasons (that’s what I’d be happy with), do we want it to be many, many episodes’ worth of college stuff? This season has covered that pretty well.
Yet you don’t want her to drop out, a la Buffy (though I *love* the post-college seasons of Buffy). Plus, K-Bell could play her actual age. Win-win!
I mean, I’d be fine if it went on as normal… but you know then by season five they’d be thinking of something to “shake up” the college formula anyway. Acting now might not be such a bad idea.
I’m not quite as apprehensive about maybe changing it up a little (unless it’s all: Two years later! Logan married to a whiny drag! Veronica mopey! Show sucks!), but the real drawback would be that Keith probably wouldn’t be as involved. And the Keith-Veronica chemistry is what (I think) makes the show so fantastic.
I guess I should trust the Veronica Mars team to not screw it up. I’m just a little apprehensive, coming from the perspective that if it ain’t really broke (from a creative standpoint), why fix it?
I’d be really curious to see how it all works out. Wallace and Mac would most likely be gone. They’d have to keep Keith around. Logan — maybe.
