Tonight on the TiFaux: Clip Shows Suck
Does anyone get anything out of clip shows, ABC? I know the idea is that you can catch up viewers who haven’t been watching obsessively, but does that actually work? I want statistics. Hard facts. The only thing I think they’ve ever done successfully is confuse people about what happened when in the show’s convoluted chronology.
Ugly Betty and Grey’s Anatomy are both “new” clip shows tonight. Boo.
On the bright side, there’s a brand-new episode of The Office. Ed Helms is back from anger management. Jim and Pam, no doubt, continue their epic passive-aggressive battle/courtship.

30 Rock is new as well, with a much happier couple — Liz and Floyd. Who would’ve thought that the guy whose most memorable SNL character is “A Couple of A-holes…” would be so charming and fun? (Nothing against the A-holes. I like them. And Floyd. I hope he sticks around for a while.)
We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming: A while back I kept seeing these annoyingly vague ads on the subway for the Brick Awards. They were the type of poster that tried to get you to go to their website, but didn’t provide enough teasing detail to make you want to go to their website. But they reminded me of Brick, which is great, so I didn’t get too upset. Anyway, now I’ve actually gone to their website, and it turns out it’s a bunch of do-gooder kids. And Mandy Moore performs. On the CW, of course.
