Aww, look at our tournament winner! Better start treasuring these final moments, Veronica Mars fans. The (most likely) final few episodes start airing tonight. God, I’ve missed Veronica, and I’m going to miss her again when this is done. Sniff. We’ll always have the season one DVDs, right, V?

I asked for it, and the universe responded (it’s The Secret): Rory Gilmore did not get the Reston fellowship. Oh, woe, whatever shall she do now? Perchance she shall steal a boat? Mayhap she’ll marry her a-hole boyfriend, so he’ll take care of her forever? Seriously, though, I want to know, and it better not be either of those two things. (Rumor has it the actual answer involves one of my favorite words… karaoke.)

And there’s a new House. This is, like, the best night ever.

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming: In a night of so much awesomeness, I almost abstained from recommending anything else, but then this caught my eye: Body Doubles: International Twin Search, which also might be the first thing I’ve ever mentioned from MyNetworkTV. It’s a search for the world’s hottest twins. I really don’t know what else to say.

A refresher on what was happening with Veronica, Logan, Wallace and the rest of our Neptune friends.

Doesn’t it feel great to have the gang back together again? Oh, sorry Sheriff Lamb.

First of all, Sheriff Lamb is dead. Done in by a crack in the head by a melancholy cameo by Richard Greico who is playing up his retro-kitsch for work. Hey, Greico’s gotta eat too. So there’s not a whole lot to remind you of about Lamb, aside from the fact that he’s likely fighting crime in that great big squad car in the sky with fellow dead TV cops like Ana Lucia Cortez and Bobby Simone. Keith is still the interim sheriff, having been appointed through a highly questionable display of governmental power by the county “commissioner.” (Nerd alert: I’ll have you know that in California, they have “supervisors.” Anyone who knows me knows why I would be particular about this.)

Second of all, the TA did it — but you remember that. They were in class and TA Tim was all “let’s break down how Landry killed Dean O’Dell” and Veronica was all “it all makes sense to me now” and the TA was all “no I didn’t” and Veronica was all “I’ll show the entire class that you did it, chump.” Then she went into the bit about the bug in her phone, the ambition of the young TA, etc.

Despite Veronica’s sleuthwork, it doesn’t work out well for the exonerated Prof. Landry, because he “accidentally” killed Dean O’Dell’s wife/his secret lov-ah and is now facing manslaughter charges. I’m a little skeptical of the “accidental” nature of the crime, as you can tell by my damning use of quotation marks.

Back in the world of teen drama, Logan and Parker are sort of dating but both of them feel weird about it because of the looming Veronica-shaped cloud lingering over them. Logan asks if its okay for them to see each other and Veronica, like a champ, gives them the go-ahead. And then she swallows her own head. Will they get back together eventually? Guessing not.

In supporting cast news, Weevil is still Weevil, Dick got a quickie Britney marriage, Mac is presumably still seeing the nerd boy and Wallace has wandered off the face of the earth.

Oh, both Piz and Piz’s hair are in love with Veronica. She has no idea — or does she?! OMG! ROFL!

I hate camping. I like drinking outside, but I hate camping.

• The Sci Fi Channel has announced its summer programming — if you were planning on staying in.
• The suits at Fox know that 24 blows this season. And they’re going to fix it, right quick.
• TRL is going to be renamed YouRL (get it? like URL?) and will be all MySpace-y.
• The lawsuit between NBC and the Will and Grace creators has ended. And NBC owes them a lot of money.
• The Ski Channel? Anyone?
• Grey’s Anatomy optical illusion: It was Mitch Pileggi’s head, not his balls.
• Sex and the City, blah, blah, squawk, blah.
• Tracy Morgan will be sporting a new accessory — an ankle bracelet.
