Hasta la vista, sucker!

In one of the most harrowing Gilmore Girls episodes ever (seriously, I haven’t had heart palpitations like that since the Veronica Mars season one finale), Logan behaved — as per his usual — like a total douchebag. When Rory refused to bend to his will and get hitched, he broke up with her. She was sad because he ruined her graduation, but the viewing public is happy now that his emotional manipulation, tenuous grasp on reality, pouty sulks, and stupid “grand gestures” are gone for good.

That proposal only would’ve been worse had Logan roped Colin and Finn into showing up and staging a fight in the middle of it.

Three cheers and good riddance! The only sad part is that it didn’t happen ten episodes ago, so we might have had more Logan-free time with the Girls before next week’s series finale.

By the way, someone in my apartment who shall remain nameless may have said, while watching Logan’s new levels of dickery, “This is exactly what Spencer did to Heidi on The Hills.”

Must… keep… whittling…

Lost is employing an odd strategy of late. It seems from the episodes that we’re meant to believe that everyone’s dead, but the creators have repeatedly insisted that they’re not. (Sort of like when BSG killed Kara, but we all in our heart-of-hearts knew there was no way that was the end.) I can’t decide if this is reassuring or self-defeating. Do they want us to suspect everyone’s dead, or do they want us to dismiss the theory entirely? As with all my questions about Lost, I expect this one will go unanswered.
