Tonight on the TiFaux: I’m Falling Behind Like Locke in His Ditch

bobbarker.jpgTonight’s a new episode of Lost. It’s sure to be excellent, as the show has been keeping us on our toes lately. I don’t have much more to say because I haven’t watched television in literally days (the horror!), and if I had the time, I’d be up all night with unwatched episodes of Heroes, 24, Gilmore Girls, Veronica Mars, House, Grey’s Anatomy, and now Lost, but I’m pretty sure I don’t have the time for that, and it’s bumming me out. I don’t like being out of the loop!

We interrupt your regularly scheduled programming: It’s The Price is Right Million Dollar Spectacular on CBS at 8:00 PM, Bob Barker’s last-ever episode hosting the show. It’s the end of an era. Sick days will never be the same.

Oh Milo, you’re so cute when you’re tough

Let me just get this out of the way first and foremost — I don’t listen to Fergie. I mean, she’s culturally unescapable and I was/am weirdly obsessed with that “My Humps” song, but, for the most part, the part of my brain that thinks about Fergie is so small it almost doesn’t exist.

But her latest video for “Big Girls Don’t Cry” caught my eye because it features none other than our favorite superpower absorbing, bang-tossing, niece-flirting, future-self-glowering Petrelli brother, Milo Ventimiglia.

Not only are we treated to some weird, gigantic close-ups of Milo’s nipple, but he also pretends to play the guitar and has fake tattoos all up and down his arms. It’s truly outrageous. Truly, truly, truly outrageous.

Plus, when he pairs with Fergie and wears those tattoos, they kind of seem like a more polished and marketable version of Pink and her biker husband who was on The Surreal Life.

Watch it with the volume down and play the new single by The Go! Team on your iTunes instead.

It’s the Upfronts!: CBS

CBS, will this finally be the year that makes me care about your programming, other than How I Met Your Mother, which has thankfully been renewed? We shall see…

The I’m Actually Excited In a Serious Way Category: Finally, the world is taking notice of my demand for a musical television drama. (I was too young for what I can only assume was the ahead-of-its-time Cop Rock.) Viva Laughlin is a drama with music, starring Hugh Jackman. Hugh Jackman! A musical! On TV! Oh my god. I really hope this show is as good as it is in my mind.

The Has Potential But I Won’t Commit Category: Cane looks like this year’s Smith, a very, very high-prestige project that will probably fold under the weight of its own expectations. This is not to say it’s not a little intriguing, I suppose. Swingtown stars Jack Davenport, and even though it sounds totally silly, that’s reason enough for me to give it the benefit of the doubt.

The Yeesh, Don’t Bother Category: The Big Bang Theory, a comedy for the Monday-night block that includes HIMYM. I like loveable geeks as much as the next girl, but I’ve never liked any of the other shows in that block. Kid Nation, a reality show which sounds like it’s sort of based on Lord of the Flies, except trying be all feel-goodery. Which, now that I type it out like that, I realize I may have put this one in the wrong category.

The Seriously, Guys, WTF Category: Moonlight. This show is Angel redux, right? Why? I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love me some vampires. The more vampires the better, I’ve often said. But is there really only one way to do a vampire TV show?

Tomorrow we’ve got Fox and the CW, and then the fun’s all over. First impressions of CBS’s slate?

The More You Know: Fried fish edition

If you don’t already know the glory of Long John Silver’s, what are you waiting for?
