I’m thinking about growing pumpkins in my backyard. I hear they’re hard to kill.
- NBC is done super-sizing episodes (read: adding more commercials).
- TNT and TBS will now offer all the episodes of their original series online. All the My Boys you can handle, Cristin!
- Lost Season Three is coming to DVD in December. Get those Hannukah lists ready.
- Rumors abound of a Battlestar season one high-definition DVD set.
- Kristin has some Lost gossip in her video segment.
- A new Ask Ausiello’s up with news about Lost and Greg Grunberg.
- Need some more summer reading: Rob Thomas has edited Neptune Noir.
- The cast of Six Feet Under is almost all back on TV.
- The host of Pirate Master claims to be descended from pirates himself.

You should talk to Jamee about growing pumpkins. She did it last year. Then, when the pumpkins are ripe, you should make me some muffins.

They show Battlestar Galactica on the Universal-HD channel and it looks kind of funny in HD. Since they’re constantly pushing the limits of what you can get out of HD cameras on that show, there’s a lot of grain that you don’t really see in SD. And the extra resolution shows off how cheap the sets are. The computer generated effects look incredible, but cutting between the real stuff and the CG is like cutting between two different worlds. It’s interesting that we’ve gotten to a point where the computer effects on a third-rate cable channel look better than the actual photography.
