In The Funk
Truth be told, I’m not the world’s hugest Feist fan.
I love Mushaboom off “Let It Die,” but I kind of thought the rest of the album was a bit of a snooze. However, the new album, “The Reminder,” is a bit more engaging and enjoyable from what I’ve heard.
But what you guys really need to see is the video for “1 2 3 4.” I mean, seriously.
I’ve never been the kind of queen who gets all worked up over musicals and costumes and choreography. I like my movies to be movies and my music to be music. But this is a super-fun video to watch and the song is cheery and upbeat.

And if that wasn’t enough, take a look at this performance from Letterman. Via Stereogum, Feist assembled a huge chorus of indie rock superstar including Jason and Kori from Mates of State as well as members of Grizzly Bear, The National and The New Pornographers to help her out. They’re all clad in white like little indie angels.
Or cult members.

See, but now I feel like I can’t listen to the song without watching all that colorful dancing!
