In a recent interview with TV Guide, dearly departed Project Runway castoff Chris March opined that either Rami or Christian would be the last designer standing. He said, “That’s a tough one. Rami seems to be the odds-on favorite, simply because of how successful he is already. But I tell ya, having been in the room with Christian, I think everybody should watch out!”
Now that we’re a few episodes in and we know everyone a little bit, I think we can start formulating final threes.
Shall we?
Okay, so I think Rami has to be in the final three. Any way you slice it. And I don’t really have a problem with that. He makes pretty dresses and he has a nice bald head for me to stare at (although one of my gays has raised vocal opposition to Rami due to a perceived excess in baring his clavicle — again, I have no problem with that). I mean, all hell could break loose and there could be a surprise elimination. Like Tre is to Top Chef as potential Rami is to Project Runway. But this is a long shot.
And I would probably venture a guess as to say that Christian could make it into the finals too, based on his youthful creativity and brass. Christian is wearing on me a little bit. If I can steal intellectual property from another one of my gays (we had a little Project Runway Canada marathon this past weekend, so this stuff came up), it seemed like Christian was going to be entertaining and witty. Unfortunately, most of the wit this season belongs to Stephen (that being said, his Tim Gunn impression kind of came off like a poor man’s Santino).
So who’s the third lucky buckaroo? Not Ricky, not Stephen, not Elisa, not Sweet P. Hopefully not Jillian, because I don’t dig her aesthetic at all. I’m going to venture a guess and say Victorya — although I think she tends to make such simple stuff I’m not sure if she has the grandiose vision that the judges are looking for.

I’m guessing you guys think Christian based on that poll we had up for like two weeks that practically no one voted on. I’m guessing because there were too many choices and y’all panicked. I realize that I’m rambling at this point. Maybe that should be my new approach to blogging. Just barely coherent rambling with the distant hope that something worthwhile/insightful/funny might inadvertently slip out. Anyone, anyone?
I’m thinking either Rami or Christian will get the surprise boot, because I don’t see both of them making it to the final three. It would just be too predictable. My own bias makes me hope and pray that Christian gets the earlier boot, cause that boy drives me crazy. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kit make it –she’s been quietly competent the whole time, and you know at least one woman will be in the final three — and I’m still somehow hoping that all the rumors about Jack leaving are just that and he makes it to the end. Denial Land is a lovely place, I tell you.
Kit! She’s totally the dark horse a la Daniel V. or Michael. (Or, she’s totally the Alison, doing great work AND being cool until getting tragically eliminated far too early.)
