The ET thing — is that a song lyric I’m missing the reference to? It’s weirding me out.

Dan, it’s from Saved By the Bell. And it made me love John quite deeply just now. (The episode where Jessie gets addicted to caffeine pills. I could recite the dialogue right now, but I have some dignity left.)
Also, I kind of love how the Peabody awards are all, “Here are some shows that are awesome. And also some ones about terrorism.” But I kind of think it should be “Peabodies.”

No dignity here
“I’m so excited.
I’m so… scared.”
Brilliant writing.

Colbert’s episode last night in which he received a fax notifying him that he had won a Peabody was a real gem. The interview with REM was surprisingly hilarious.
“When people say this is your comeback album do you kind of want to tell them to go fuck themselves?”
