For better or for worse, Work Out is coming back.
Who am I kidding? Definitely for the better.
I wrote about this before, but Work Out is a show I find inexplicably irresistible. Even though there’s no competition aspect to keep me interested, there is enough gay drama and sufficient hard bodies to keep me coming back.
Here’s a preview of season three, which debuts April 22.
Quite frankly, I am not really sure why this show keeps coming back - it is fake and overly contrived by writers who are coming up with stories that are pandering to straight males, preachy to the conservatives and condescending to women, just for the sake of trying to be entertaining. The show is way beyond 15 minutes and appears desperate to find an audience - this story does not need to be dramaticized and retold over and over - we get it!
