Congrats to Joaquin Phoenix on being the latest David Letterman train wreck.

I’m not sure if this is some sort of Andy Kaufman-esque orchestrated meltdown performance art or not, but it’s at least fun to watch Phoenix fumble in his words in an (allegedly) chemical-fueled haze. Honestly, this clip makes me love David Letterman more (and, to an extent, hate Jay Leno more as well) because he handles the whole thing beautifully.
