I'm kidding. I think a lot of Americans are very excited about the World Cup. It's a lazy media trope that Americans don't get soccer; MLS games had higher average attendance the first month of this season than NBA and NHL games. And that's <i>MLS</i>, which does not, how shall we say, feature the world's greatest players. I’m kidding. I think a lot of Americans are very excited about the World Cup. When we were successful our coach told us to yell out "nutmeg!" So naturally when I did the same thing in a game, I automatically yelled out "nutmeg!" and was promptly given a yellow card.
